Finnish President Alexander Stubb, who maintains close ties with both US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has expressed his fear that US-led peace talks on Ukraine are reaching a stalemate. In an interview with the Norwegian newspaper VG published on Thursday, Stubb said: 'It could be due to a war in Iran that would significantly divert attention from the war in Ukraine.' He added: 'I think the American negotiators have done their utmost, and the core of the issue now revolves around a single issue related to Donbas and disputed territories. But it is also possible that the negotiations have reached a stalemate and no progress is being made.'
